Tom Thomson Pilgrimage – Free Live Music and Hiking

(Please browse through our calendar and check out the full schedule of events. Our 2017 brochure has a detailed description of the repertoire for each event.)

On opening weekend we host our first free event. At 3pm on Sunday, July 23rd, the Tom Thomson Pilgrimage will take you along the shore of Georgian Bay where Thomson painted Parry Sound Harbour, 1914, stopping as he travelled by canoe from Go Home Bay to Algonquin Park. Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the serene landscape of Parry Sound in contrast with an impeccable performance by the Guy Few Brass Quartet right on-site!

Take this unique chance to explore the natural beauty of the trail and soak up a wonderful performance in a one of a kind performance venue…. the great outdoors!

Please note: Due to the nature of the shoreline in this area, the North Shore Rugged Hiking Trail has been classed as a “rugged use only” hiking trail. Although the plaque is only a short walk from the trail head, it is not an easy walk and may not be suitable for everyone.
