Business Analysis Intern

Job Description

To assist with all aspects of the operations of a summer classical and jazz music festival,
including cash management and financial analysis, office and event administration, gift
shop and inventory management, merchandise sales and box-office.
The Festival of the Sound is seeking a candidate to play a vital role in 2017. The Business
Analysis Intern will have an opportunity to expand their skill set within a small arts
organization. Working out of our office in the historic Station Gallery, and at the Charles
W. Stockey Centre for the Performing Arts, the successful candidate for this position will
find themselves immersed in both the day to day and events management of a dynamic

Qualifications
• Post-secondary education in Accounting, Business Finance or Arts Administration
• Computer skills and experience with Microsoft Office and QuickBooks preferred
• Experience with preparation and analysis of financial reports
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Detail oriented, creative, intuitive team player
• Ability to work well with volunteers
• Previous office/retail/event administration and accounting experience is an asset
• Knowledge of and passion for classical and jazz music is an asset

The Candidate must be a graduate of a post-secondary degree or diploma program,
within the last 3 years from an accredited college or university. The position will be a
first full-time employment in the candidate’s field of study.

including creation & production of marketing materials, assisting with production of
brochure and programme, advertising sales, website and social media content, event
administration and scheduling, merchandise sales and box-office.
The Festival of the Sound is seeking a candidate to play a vital role in 2017. The Marketing
& Graphic Design Intern will have an opportunity to expand their skill set within a
small arts organization. Working out of our office in the historic Station Gallery, and at

• Previous retail or event marketing and graphic design experience is an asset
• Knowledge of and passion for classical and jazz music is an asset
